This is another winner from Tony Evans。 Given his background， he has a unique view of the problems facing our culture。 And while his diagnosis is often similar to the one others make， his prescriptions are altogether different。 He believes， with good reason， that many of the ills that plague our society are a result of failing to transfer the values of the Kingdom of God to our younger generations。 He lays that responsibility squarely on the shoulders of men， who so often abdicate their responsi This is another winner from Tony Evans。 Given his background， he has a unique view of the problems facing our culture。 And while his diagnosis is often similar to the one others make， his prescriptions are altogether different。 He believes， with good reason， that many of the ills that plague our society are a result of failing to transfer the values of the Kingdom of God to our younger generations。 He lays that responsibility squarely on the shoulders of men， who so often abdicate their responsibilities in their relationships with their spouses， their children， their extended families， their coworkers， and their churches。 This book talks about how to get that all rolling again。Of particular interest given our current cultural dilemma is the section on race relations。 Dr。 Evans has experienced racism first hand and come through it。 He’s the first African American to write a full length Bible Commentary as well as his own study Bible。 His solution to racial issues is somewhat different than others making the rounds today。 Many of these theories and solutions are overtly confrontational， focus on sheer grievance， and exalt one’s racial identity over everything。 Dr。 Evans believes that yes， we need to face inequalities that still exist in our society， some of which are indeed systemic。 But the way to do that is hand to hand， brother to brother， in relationship。 Reconciliation will never happen as a result of a government edict or discarding law and order。 It can only happen in by being in honest relationship with other people and by maintaining our identity as Disciples of Jesus Christ as the most important role that we play。 Definitely recommended for any Christian man looking to deepen his relationship with its God and use it to positively influence our world。 。。。more

A Kingdom Man Rising！Kingdom Men Rising is one of the most inspiring， motivational， self-reflecting， heart-warming read for men who were born to make a difference in the world。 Dr。 Evans transparency， family life， love for his late wife， and all of his successes in life are all presented in this book。 A must have for a library with purpose。 The ending hit me close。 God has a purpose for your life; he knew from the beginning， even the ending of your story。

In Kingdom Men Rising， Tony Evans has written a brand-new book about men stepping up to become effective leaders in all areas of your life。 In the book， he explored the game of checkers and how each piece was created to become a king。 He shared how men are supposed to receive their crowns and they were created to be the foundation under the authority of God。 He begins the book by opening up about a major challenged he faced in 2019。 He shared how they discovered the return of his wife’s， Lois ca In Kingdom Men Rising， Tony Evans has written a brand-new book about men stepping up to become effective leaders in all areas of your life。 In the book， he explored the game of checkers and how each piece was created to become a king。 He shared how men are supposed to receive their crowns and they were created to be the foundation under the authority of God。 He begins the book by opening up about a major challenged he faced in 2019。 He shared how they discovered the return of his wife’s， Lois cancer。 They all were together as a family because he was also receiving an award that very night for the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame award。 Lois explained to her family that this was spiritual warfare。 She shared how over a year and half that they lost six family members。 She stated that they needed to all be prepared to fight。 He eventually lost his wife near New Year’s Eve to cancer。 He explained how the devil was more than likely saying， “oh crap， he’s up”。 He was supposed to peach the next night at his New Year Eve service and the enemy tried to knock him don’t where he wouldn’t preach。 He reexplained what a kingdom man definition is and how we need to submit to God and have a relationship with Him and follow Him in all the areas of our lives。 He reminded readers that we are all chosen for greatness and how we all have a purpose for our lives。 He looked at Abraham and his story and how God promised were spoken to him and to his seed。 The scriptures also revealed how if we are in Christ， we are all Abraham’s seed。 Tony encouraged reader to own this promise and we can have greatness and influence。 He went into great detail about how we need to as men to show up， be present， and to stay consistent and how this will assist us in leading behind a legacy。 There is countless wisdom found throughout the pages on personal growth and becoming a kingdom man。 I would recommend this life changing book to every single man and they are ready to rise up and become the man that God has called them to be。 This book contained vast knowledge about how we can grow into greatness and leave a legacy behind。 I immensely loved how transparent Tony was and how he shared countless stories about his own life and experiences of becoming a kingdom man。 I liked how he looked at spiritual warfare and how we can overcome the attacks。 Along the way， we can also grow closer to Christ。 This book has the potential to assist men in rising up and becoming active in their roles and to become the leaders and step into their God given purpose in their lives。"I received this book free from the publisher， Bethany House/ Chosen for my honest review。” 。。。more

Tony Evans is one of the most vital leaders in Christianity today。 The legacy his family has had and will have on the world is enormous。 While this book is not about parenting， it is about being a man and leading like one。 I would say that overall， there is likely nothing new in this book; however， there may not be such a condensed version of what it means to be a Christian man out there。Evans consistently calls his reader back to Scripture and then pulls the applicable truth from it。 I suspect Tony Evans is one of the most vital leaders in Christianity today。 The legacy his family has had and will have on the world is enormous。 While this book is not about parenting， it is about being a man and leading like one。 I would say that overall， there is likely nothing new in this book; however， there may not be such a condensed version of what it means to be a Christian man out there。Evans consistently calls his reader back to Scripture and then pulls the applicable truth from it。 I suspect that he would agree that this is the way to acquire life changing principles instead of trying to have our view of life fit Scripture。 Alongside his constant biblical reinforcement， Evans gives examples from his own life that are directly applicable to what it is he is speaking about。 We hear about his relationship with his children， his community， and his willingness to suffer alongside his wife through her cancer battle that ultimately took her life。While a lot of people have heard of Tony Evans， I have come to discover not many people have read him。 If I am being honest I would say that even fewer men have read one of his works because men are less likely to read books than women。 This book will not describe every situation a man may face， but it does give guidelines and a path forward to know how to live a godly， manly life。 And no， there is no references to hunting， shooting， or repelling down ropes because there is more to being a man than simply doing what the world has deemed manly。This book would be of great value to anyone from around age 15 or 16 up。 Although there are likely ones that will dismiss most of the truth as being too basic or they have matured past it。 The fact of the matter is if Tony Evans speaks （or in this case writes）， we would be wise to listen。The publisher was gracious enough to send me a copy of this book for me to read and review。 The words above are my own and have not been influenced in any manner outside of the written manuscript。 。。。more

Dr Evans continues to challenge us， men， specifically in connection with his Kingdom theme。 It is so easy to become passive and non engaged in life or in issues that surround us on a regular basis。 In Kingdom Men Rising Dr Evans challenges us to rise up though， to take action， to stand for what God has called us to do。 It is a very action focussed message/book。 His challenge is also to do this "rising" regardless of who else is or isn't doing it。 Using many personal stories or experiences helped Dr Evans continues to challenge us， men， specifically in connection with his Kingdom theme。 It is so easy to become passive and non engaged in life or in issues that surround us on a regular basis。 In Kingdom Men Rising Dr Evans challenges us to rise up though， to take action， to stand for what God has called us to do。 It is a very action focussed message/book。 His challenge is also to do this "rising" regardless of who else is or isn't doing it。 Using many personal stories or experiences helped me see and understand how this can be done in my life。 The content is very Biblically based which is important for me and I would encourage all men striving to live for God to pick this up and read it！！！ 。。。more

At first， I felt strange reading a book that was meant for men。 However， as a woman it helped me understand the weight that a man has on his shoulders to live out his God-ordained purpose as a Kingdom Man。 If I could get a book for every man in my life， I certainly would！ Dr。 Evans shares personal experiences and biblical principles to give men the key to application， transformation， and rising up for the purpose God called to build His Kingdom。
